What is the SmartSpending™ app?

The SmartSpending™ app puts our employee discounts offering into a single app for users and is available on Android and iOS. It can be used in addition to a client's desktop site, with each way of saving replicated on both the desktop and the app.

From anywhere, at any time, on one app, our clients and their employees have access to the discounts they love, including promotions when savings get even bigger. 

The app can be used to purchase Instant Vouchers/eGift Cards which can be used right away as well as being automatically saved to a digital wallet for future use. Employees can also earn Cashback when shopping online with their phone, and use Cashback towards Instant Voucher purchases to make their savings go even further! The app can also be used to purchase Reloadable Cards (UK only) and to top them up at a discounted price.

Huge choice

All of the discounted Instant Voucher, Cashback, and Reloadable Card offers are available in the app. This provides the ultimate shopping and saving experience on the go via the app. 

Online shopping

Earn money back while shopping online with all of the available Cashback offers in the app. It's such an easy process – find the retailer where the purchase will be made, click the Cashback button, and shop as normal in the retailer's online store. Cashback is then automatically calculated and tracked to the employee's account.

Digital wallet

All of the Instant Vouchers/eGift Cards purchased will be saved into the app's digital wallet – this is the same regardless of whether they have been purchased through the desktop site or on the app. 

When redeeming an Instant Voucher, they can be shown on the app with or without phone reception or a Wi-Fi connection from the digital wallet. This means there is no need to worry about connectivity when out and about shopping.

Fully interconnected

The app and the desktop site are fully interconnected so actions performed on one are tracked to the other. This includes the intelligent basket feature which keeps any items saved in the basket when shopping on the app and moving to the desktop site – and vice versa! 

Any Instant Vouchers purchased on either the app or desktop site are also saved for redemption on either side.

Safe & secure

Card details are not directly stored on the app to enhance security. We also allow employees to choose a four-digit PIN to prevent anyone but them from logging in, and if their phone has a fingerprint or face ID login enabled then these methods will automatically activate after choosing a PIN.

My Account

Cashback builds up in the ‘My Account' section of the app which can be withdrawn or used towards a future discount purchase for even bigger savings. The employee's personal details can also be viewed from the 'My Account' section.

Alerts

Employees with the app will receive alerts on their device about ongoing deals and promotions, ensuring they never miss the chance to save more. Employees are free to switch alerts on and off at any time.
