Here is a step-by-step guide to downloading and using the Connect+ app.
What is Connect+ ?
Connect+ is our updated app that puts the power of real-time employee recognition and communication in the hands of employees, no matter where you are.
The app is available for download on Apple and Android, and means that you’ll never have to wait to say You Nailed It, High Five, or Thank You ever again. You’ll also be notified straight away when there is new company news, and when you receive recognition, meaning you won’t have to wait to get the great feedback you deserve.
Who can download the Connect+ app?
The new app is available for all employees. Some features are available depending on your scheme configuration.

How can I download the Connect+ app?
The app can be downloaded for both phones and tablets using the following steps:
- Click here for the iPhone version or here for the Android version. Alternatively, head to the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for ‘Connect+’
- Download the app and log in using the same email address you use for the website
- You will be emailed a Magic Code to verify you are you! The Magic Code is a six-digit code, you should receive the code within 15 minutes, but if it is not received the user can request for the code to be resent
Start reading company news and recognising your colleagues on the go and receive your eCards and awards through the app too!
What can I do on the Connect+ app?
On the Connect+ app you’ll be able to read company news and see all the eCards and awards that have been sent and shared on the Feed. Much like you can on your desktop, you’ll be able to react and comment on activity on the wall through the app. You'll be able to redeem your rewards in the marketplace. Accessing and adjusting your profile is easy in the Connect+ app. And of course, you’ll also be able to send and receive eCards here too.
We are constantly adding new features to the Connect+ app and some of the features will be available in the "early access" program we offer to some interested clients. This guide will be updated with each major update version we release.
If you'd like to be among the first ones to try our new features - you can toggle on the "I want to be a beta tester" toggle in the Account section of the app.
What can I do on the Feed?
The Feed is a timeline displaying moments of recognition and communication happening across the organisation in real-time.
Recognition moments are made up of eCards, Nominations, and InstantAwards. eCards are peer-to-peer recognition moments that can be sent from anyone to anyone globally. InstantAwards are on-the-spot manager financial awards that managers can send to recognise good behaviour. Communication moments are blog posts published by the company, to keep employees up-to-date with company news.
You can scroll through these moments, to react and comment on them. The reaction toolbar contains five different reactions, great for celebrating moments of recognition or responding with feedback to blog posts. You can also read others' comments and reply to them.
Discounts and wellbeing content are also displayed on the feed (if enabled on your scheme). You can discover top retailers and their offers. If employees want to access the discount offers - they will move to the Discounts app and continue their journey there.
You can also filter the feed using various filters. You can filter by feed item - eCards, Nominations, InstantAwards, or Blogs, or by your own recognition, as the feed also contains your own private recognition moments as well, that only they can see.
How do I send a recognition from the Connect+ app?
To send a recognition, follow these simple steps:
- Select the ‘Create’ button at the bottom of the screen
- Select the recognition you want to send. You can choose from different recognition options and designs
- Add your recipient/s by searching for and then clicking on their name
- Select ‘Next’ in the top right-hand corner of the page
- Type your personal message - remember this is important so that your colleague knows exactly why they have received recognition from you
- Under the text box, you’ll be given the option to ‘Send & Share’ or ‘Send Privately’. If you ‘Send & Share’ the recipient will receive a notification and the eCard will also be posted on the Feed for everyone to see. If you choose to ‘Send Privately’, only the recipient will be able to access and see the recognition
How does someone know they have received an eCard or an award?
The recipient will be notified with a push notification or an email notification (depending on their alert preferences set up on their account). If not, when they next log in either online or on the app, they will be able to see that they have an alert waiting for them in the top right-hand corner of the site or app.
How can I see the eCards or awards that I have been sent?
To see the eCards and awards you have previously been sent, click on the ‘Filter’ button at the top left-hand corner of the page and select the ‘My Recognition’ drop-down. If you select ‘eCards’ and then click ‘Show results’, you’ll be able to see all the eCards you have received.
How can I redeem my rewards in the app?
You can access the marketplace by tapping on the "Rewards" menu item at the bottom of the screen. In the marketplace, you can explore various retailers and their offers. You can see your balance at the top and you can only buy items if you have a positive rewards balance.
Discover or search retailers by name or category. When you find a suitable offer, tap on their name to see the available products. You can purchase rewards with your points by adding them to the basket and checking out in a few simple steps.
How can I access my profile on the Connect+ app?
You can access your personal profile by tapping on your profile picture (or the avatar with your initials) in the top left corner of the screen. You will first see your account where you can adjust multiple settings for the app and access your profile.
On your profile, you'll see the "About you", "Stats" and "Team" sections. You can explore those areas for your own profile or for your colleagues' profiles which you can access by tapping on their profile picture in the Feed.
At the moment you cannot edit your profile in the app, but we're looking forward to adding this capability soon.
How can I access Discounts and Wellbeing apps?
You can easily access Wellbeing Centre, SmartSpending, and Wellbeing+ apps by going to the "More" section of the Connect+ app. If you don't have these apps installed - you will be directed to the app store to download the apps. Once you have the apps installed on your phone - you can use Connect+ to easily access those apps without the need to login again.
How can I access my employee engagement programme homepage?
Your employee engagement programme homepage is available through the Hub tab in the Connect+ app. You will see all the content your employer made available to you on the homepage.
