The recipient can use the voucher, like any standard voucher.
No accessor membership to SmartSpending or the Discounts platform is required.

The exact validity of the gift card depends on the retailer, so please refer to their terms and conditions for specific details.
Why are the discounts % different between SmartSpending and the Gifting Hub?
The difference in discounts is due to a processing fee that covers the gifting and unwrapping experience. Additionally, there's an extra security measure required when sending a monetary value via email.
The good news is that you're still saving real money!

Gifting Hub vs Rewards
How does the Gifting Hub compare to Rewards?

- Scalability: Gifting Hub has limitations on the number of gift cards you can purchase, making it a non-scalable reward option.
- Discounts: There are no discounts when awarding credit through Rewards.
- Personalisation: The Gifting Hub offers more personalisation, as you can choose specific retailers, unlike Rewards which are less personalised.
Can I use the gifting hub to Recognise and Reward my employees?
RG has developed multiple reward and recognition solutions which are designed to ensure that you have the correct tools in place, to recognise and reward your employees in a streamlined manner, supporting your recognition strategy, whilst supporting business administrative tasks, such as budgeting and reporting.
Our Reward and recognition solutions allow for:
- Multiple solutions (Scheduled recognition, Award Nominator, Instant Awards, Bulk uploads, On the Spot) - to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Linking to social recognition to amplify recognition moments, creating a culture of appreciation + highlighting strategic initiatives (such as values-based recognition + DEI Initiatives)
- Supports custom artwork, to link to your company brand
- Alert functionality + manager dashboards to enable managers to drive a recognition culture
- Comprehensive tracking and reporting,
- Ability to set budgets for recognition spend
The gifting hub is intended for employees to gift friends and family at a discounted rate and is not designed for business reward and recognition, so it should not be used for this activity. The gifting hub sits in our discounts solutions and aligns with the discount limits in place to protect platforms from fraudulent behaviour.
If you would like to discuss your reward and recognition strategy and the best tools to support your organisation, please reach out to your CSM / AM.
