Wellbeing+| How to Edit Challenge Details in the Admin Center

Overview 

Use the steps in this article to guide you as you edit general information (name, description, dates, etc) for your challenge.

Whether you created a challenge from scratch or used one of our challenge templates to create your challenge, you can edit the name, description, image, prize information, challenge visibility, final join date, and dates* of your challenge from the Wellbeing+ Admin Center.

*You can only edit challenge dates before the challenge has started. Once a challenge begins, you will not have the option to edit dates.

Editing Challenge Details

Follow these steps to edit your challenge details:

1. Go to the Challenges tab in the side navigation menu:

2. Select the challenge you wish to edit from those listed and from the challenge dashboard, click the button labeled Edit details:

3. A pop up will appear allowing you to make edits. To edit the challenge name, type within the highlighted box:

4. To edit the challenge description, type within the highlighted box:

5. To edit the challenge image, click Edit challenge image:

Note: Challenge images should be sized at 652px wide by 364px tall.

6. You can edit your selection to include prize information and enter / remove any information about prizes in this highlighted box:

7. Edit the challenge visibility status (Hidden / Public) by clicking the toggle here:

8. To add a final join date, click the toggle here from off to on and select a date within the highlighted text box:

For all the options above, click the final Save Changes button once you are done editing your challenge, and it will update! You may also click Cancel to void any changes made.

Editing Challenge Dates/Duration*
*You can only edit challenge dates before the challenge has started. Once a challenge begins, you will not have the option to edit dates.

To edit the challenge dates for your challenge, click the button labeled Edit details from the challenge dashboard and follow these steps:

Editing dates for a challenge you created from scratch

1. Click within either highlighted box below to begin editing:

2. After clicking on the start or end date, a calendar selector will appear. Select your dates by clicking the new start and end days on the calendar, then click the green Save Changes button:

Editing dates or duration for a challenge you created from a template

1. Click the duration drop down to adjust the challenge duration from within the range available, and/or click within the "Select start date" box to select a new start date.

2. After adjusting your duration and/or selecting your new challenge start date, click the green Save button. After clicking Save, a pop-up will appear -- follow the instructions to either reschedule any associated challenge content and announcements, or to opt-out of automatic updates. What happens to challenge content & announcements when editing dates?​

Impacts on challenge content

If you change the dates for an upcoming challenge, you have the option to automatically reschedule any content you have scheduled in the challenge to your new dates.

• When you save changes to challenge dates for any challenge that contains 1 or more content modules, you will see the following message:

• Either click "Confirm date change" to save your date changes and reschedule all challenge content evenly across your new dates, or check the "Don't reschedule challenge content" box before confirming your date change to opt-out of automatic content rescheduling.
• If you allow for automatic content rescheduling:
  • All the content that was scheduled in your challenge will automatically reschedule evenly across the new challenge dates.
  • Updates apply to both any content scheduled via a content collection and any individual pieces of content you may have added manually.
  • Updates apply to all content modules (if the challenge contains more than one).
  • All content will be rescheduled to go out in the same order that was originally scheduled.
  • Note that the updates will not retain the previously scheduled cadence to any manually added content. All content will be rescheduled evenly across your new challenge dates.
• If you opt-out of automatic updates, we recommend manually reviewing and updating the schedule date of any challenge content to ensure it is still scheduled to send during your challenge duration. Click here to learn how to review and update any scheduled challenge content.

Impacts on challenge announcements

If you change the dates for an upcoming challenge you created from scratch, any announcements you manually added will not update to match new challenge dates.

• We recommend manually reviewing and updating the schedule date of any announcements you created to ensure they are still scheduled to send during your challenge duration. Click here to learn how to review and update any scheduled announcements.

If you change the dates for an upcoming challenge that you created via a Wellbeing+ challenge template, you have the option to automatically re-create any associated challenge announcements to your new dates. All announcements that were originally created through the template will be deleted, and then the associated announcements will be regenerated for the new challenge dates.

When you save changes to challenge dates for any challenge that was created via a challenge template, you will see the following message:

• Either click "Confirm date change" to save your date changes and re-create all announcements for your new dates, or check the "Don't re-create announcements" box before confirming your date change to opt-out of automatic announcement re-creation.
• If you allow for automatic announcement re-creation:
  • All the announcements that were scheduled for your challenge will automatically be deleted and then re-created for the new challenge dates.
  • Note that the updates will not retain any edits that you had manually made to the announcements. The announcements that had been created before will be fully deleted, and the original announcements will be created again for the new dates.
  • If you deleted any announcements, or edited any copy, images, audience information, or other details in any announcements, those edits will be lost if you allow for automatic updates.
• If you opt-out of automatic updates, we recommend manually reviewing and updating the schedule date of any challenge announcements to ensure they are still scheduled to send during your challenge duration. Click here to learn how to review and update any scheduled announcements.

Note that if you are editing the dates for a challenge created via a challenge template that also has a content module(s), you will have the option to both reschedule the content evenly across your new challenge dates, and re-create announcements to the new dates. You can also opt-out of either or both automatic updates on the warning message:

What happens to challenge announcements if I end a challenge early or delete a challenge created from a template?

If you end a challenge you created via a challenge template early, all future scheduled announcements associated with that template will be deleted.

If you are deleting a challenge you created via a challenge template, we will automatically delete all announcements that were originally created through the template unless you opt-out of automatic deletion.
