This article will highlight key insights available in the Discounts Overview dashboard found by clicking on the Platform Insights link in your Account tab (see images below). This article will give you ideas to enhance employees' awareness of and usage of this benefit.
Note that global workforces are divided up by currency; so the US division of a company will see usage only for other US employees that are also saving money in US dollars. (For help understanding terms and charts, please reference this Explanation of Terms and Charts.)
Discounts Overview tab:
One use of this tab is to determine the rate at which your employees are using savings (above). You can also compare Platform logins year on year and to consider whether your employees access discounts more via a computer or via the SmartSpending™ app.
- Do you see an increase in usage? Celebrate the increased savings in company-wide communications to invite others to participate!
- Do you see a lull in usage? Consider ways to remind your organization of this benefit, potentially using interesting statistics from this dashboard as food for thought.
- Should more people know about the SmartSpending™ app? Send out the FAQ to get more people downloading and using the app.
As you review the Employees with most discount savings, consider asking one or more of them to share their experience with others. Testimonials are a great way to build awareness and get more people involved in this benefit!
Transactions tab:
The Transactions tab gives you insight as to when and where employees are using their discounts. Take a look at the Retailers by number of transactions chart (above) to see which retailers are most popular with your team. It might be helpful to share these names across the company (perhaps as a tile on your SmartHub®?) so others are reminded they can save money in these spots!
Review the Number of transactions by time of day chart to see if there are patterns for when employees are using discounts. Are evenings big? Are they often used on the weekend? Maybe end of day or Friday afternoon communications can remind your team to take advantage of the offers.
Spend tab:
If you are promoting particular aspects of the program – the SmartSpending™ app, for example – you can also use graphs like Origin of spend over time (above) to see if you are having an influence as the bars change. If you want to analyze your team's use of the program more than these graphs can provide, you can click on the three dots in the upper right of any of the graphs and charts to download the data as a CSV file.
Savings tab:
Last but not least, the savings tab helps you understand the impact the discounts benefit is having on the wallets of your team. You can use the Savings over time graph (above) to track savings over time, celebrate big months, or even compare savings between groups. You can celebrate those groups with the most savings and encourage others to save even more!
