At Reward Gateway, the user experience is absolutely key to the success of our products, such as SmartSpending™. In fact, we're obsessive about the user experience. And to ensure our obsession turns into improvement for our clients, we measure every piece of feedback on all of the retailers we partner with – whether negative or positive. 

If we see obstacles between our members and the retailers they wish to shop with, we take action.

That's why we made the decision to remove the Goldsmiths Reloadable Card and Instant Voucher discount options from the SmartSpending™ platform. 

Goldsmiths offered a great level of discount which was much loved by many of our members for many years. But then Goldsmiths made some changes to the way the cards and vouchers could be used, which was below the level of user experience our members have come to expect from Reward Gateway. 

These changes meant the Reloadable Card and Instant Vouchers could no longer be used to buy Rolex, Omega, Breitling, TAG Connect, and Cartier brands, as well as any sale/discounted items and products marked ‘online only’.

We saw first-hand from our users how confused they were by the new offer, and disappointed that they were being restricted so much, making the user experience generally unsatisfactory. So, we took the decision to remove it.

We hope our clients and members agree that taking measures such as these means that we can continue to provide great value, great selection, and maximum convenience with the discounts offered. 

We’ve kept the door open for Goldsmiths to return with an offer which users will love, and we still offer a 5% Cashback saving for online purchases at Goldsmiths.
