What is the Executive Club?

The British Airways Executive Club helps make travel more rewarding. Plus, it’s free to join.

As a Member you can collect Avios every time you fly with British Airways or the oneworld® partners. You’ll also earn Tier points when you fly, helping you to unlock additional benefits as you move through the Club tiers – from Blue to Bronze to Silver and Gold*.

(*Almost all flights are eligible. The only flights you do not earn Avios or Tier Points on are Reward Flights, agency discounted fares and industry discounted fares.)

Do Avios expire?

Avios will not expire as long as you collect or spend a minimum of 1 Avios every three years.

Spending Avios

We have a wide range of products which you can spend your Avios on. These products will vary based on what airline loyalty program you are a member of and what country you reside in. Here are some of the ways you can enjoy spending your Avios:

Is Avios the same as Airmiles?

The UK Avios Rewards Programme (formerly Airmiles) closed in July 2018 and members were transferred to the BA Executive Club, which continues to use Avios points as its currency.
