Childcare Vouchers (CCVs) can't legally be withdrawn as cash but a client's employees can continue to access their vouchers even if they leave the business.
Normally, employees who become ineligible will have 60 days before their account closes.
This doesn't apply to members who use CCV. They will retain limited access to the benefits site for 24 months in order to spend any remaining vouchers. Furthermore, making a payment resets the 24-month countdown so employees don't have to worry about losing their balance as long as they keep making payments.
If such an account has no activity whilst still having a remaining balance, we will send them two emails to remind them that they need to use their vouchers. The first email is sent 12 months before closing the account while the second one is sent 3 days before closing their account.
If the member doesn't make any payments in the 24-month period, we'll remove their details from the system in order to honor our privacy agreements.
