In this article, we’ll run through how clients can seamlessly integrate their Yammer Network to share their Reward Gateway content automatically.
How do clients enable the Yammer integration?
To enable the Yammer integration, clients need to log into Reward Manager, go to the Integration Dashboard, and search for “Yammer for Sharing” under the “Explore Integrations” tab.
Select the integration and turn it “On” using the toggle button in the top right-hand side and then follow instructions on the setup.
Initial Setup
Give the Yammer integration a meaningful name to reflect what it does so that it is easier to spot on the Integration Dashboard.
Authorize the Yammer Network
Before Reward Gateway can access a Yammer Network, we need to be granted access by the client to their Yammer Network. To do this, select the "Authorize your Yammer Account" button.
This will redirect the client to the respective Yammer Network and require them to authorize access for Reward Gateway as shown below.
Please note, we recommended doing this through a service account created on Yammer and that the respective service account has access to all the Yammer Groups.
Once allowed access, the client is automatically redirected to the Yammer Integrations page where they can continue with the setup.
Select a Trigger
Next, a trigger needs selecting. A trigger is an event on the Reward Gateway'system that the client would like to get notified about on their Yammer Network. A list of available triggers will be displayed.
Select a Yammer Group
In this step, clients choose the Yammer Group that the notifications are going to be sent to. A list of all available Yammer groups will be shown on the drop down available in this step.
Review and Publish
Clients can review the setup and, if happy with the integration details shown on screen, select the "Publish" button to make the activate the integration.
How do clients disable their Yammer Integrations?
A client can disable the Yammer Integration by toggling the On / Off option in the respective Yammer Integration, or can also use the "Revoke Access" button to stop allowing Reward Gateway access to their Yammer Network.
Both of these options will stop the active integration.
