Learn how to set a final join date to cut off challenge sign ups before the challenge ends
When can users join challenges in Wellbeing+?
By default, all Wellbeing+ challenges will allow late entry. Users can join a challenge until it ends. This means that users can join the challenge all the way up to the last day of the challenge, unless you set a final join date.
What is a final join date?
A final join date will prevent users from joining your challenge after the date you select.* After a challenge is created, you can edit your challenge details from the challenge dashboard to set a final join date.
For example, if your challenge begins on January 1 and you set a final join date of January 7, this means no one will be able to join your challenge after 11:59:59pm (according to your client time zone) on January 7.
*If you include a final join date, you will still be able to manually add users to your challenge from the admin center, even after the final join date has passed.
How do I add a final join date?
1. Go to the Challenges tab in the side navigation menu and select your challenge
2. Click the button labeled "Edit details"
3. A pop up will appear allowing you to make edits. Scroll down to "Final join date"

5. Once you've selected your date, press Save.
6. Your Final join date will now show on your challenge details.
Note: If your challenge visibility is set to Public, your challenge will automatically be hidden after the final join date passes.
7. If you need to Edit or Delete your final join date at any time, simply click back into the "Edit details" section. Select a new date to edit, or toggle the date off to remove the final join date. Click Save to save your changes.

How do late joiners impact challenge scores?
When a user joins a challenge past the challenge start date, the system automatically scores their activity data into the challenge back through the beginning of the challenge. Note: The user joining will need to have data tracked in their Wellbeing+ account for all challenge dates in order for their data to be scored into the challenge. Moving forward, the user will need to sync at least 1x every 7 days during the challenge to maintain accurate challenge scores.
