Reward Gateway provides exclusive shopping discounts to employees of our clients only.
Our clients pay us for (among other things) the privilege of having access to - and more importantly, giving their employees access to - these exclusive discounts.
It's in the interests of the employees that we maintain a closed user network so that we can continue to get the highest shopping discount rates from retailers.
It's in the interests of the employers, too, that access remains exclusive to their employees so that they can set themselves apart from other employers and have a strong and compelling Employer Value Proposition (EVP).
With this in mind, it is only our clients' employees who can create an account on their SmartSpending™ employee discounts platform. We always have a check in place during the registration process, such as payroll ID, to ensure that new members are bona fide employees of our clients.
Reloadable Cards (UK only)
In the UK, there is currently a way for an employee's friends or family to benefit from their discounts program, without having an account themselves. This is through Reloadable Cards.
Many of our Reloadable Cards allow users to have up to 10 of each retailer’s Reloadable Card on their account. This means that employees can request separate cards for their family or friends to use. They can even save these with names like "Dad's card" so they always know which one to top up.
The EasySaver™ Card is an Instant Reloadable Card that can be used across 40 of the UK's favourite high-street stores nationwide. Users can have up to 4 EasySaver™ cards registered to their account at any one time, meaning this offer can be shared with family or friends.
However, it's important to note that the cards can only be topped up through the employee's SmartSpending™ account, so the friend or family member would not be able to manage the top up (including payment) themselves. The SmartSpending™ account holder would need to manage this on their behalf.
