Introduction
This article provides an overview of the Value Statement — a feature within Insight Hub that helps clients understand the return on investment their organisation receives from the Reward Gateway | Edenred platform. This overview is intended for a client audience.
Product Overview
The Value Statement is a dashboard available within Insight Hub (currently accessible via Platform Insights) that brings together ROI (Return on Investment) calculations and platform engagement metrics into a single, easy-to-understand view.
Note: The Value Statement is accessed in the same way as your other Platform Insights. (See the below section on 'How To Access the Value Statement').
It is designed to help clients see and communicate the financial and engagement value their organisation receives from the platform, each quarter.
Statements are produced on a quarterly basis, with each statement covering a three-month period aligned to the scheme go-live date. Each statement is standalone - figures are not accumulated across periods.
Value Statement - Full Dashboard Overview
Here is a view of what the Value Statement might look like:
Key Benefits
For client admins and People teams: a ready-made, credible view of platform ROI that can be shared directly with senior stakeholders - no manual calculation required.
For finance teams: a clear breakdown of employer NIC savings and employee tax and NIC savings, tied to a quarterly investment figure.
Prerequisites
The following are required before a client can access the Value Statement:
- The client user must have the Reports Viewer role assigned to their account.
- The Value Statement must be enabled for the scheme via the QVS toggle in Reward Manager. See the header below 'Enabling and Disabling the Value Statement' for details.
- The scheme must have at least one complete three-month period since go-live for a statement to be generated.
- An investment figure must be present in Salesforce against the scheme. A statement will not be generated without this figure.
How To Access the Value Statement
Client users with the Reports Viewer role can access the Value Statement through Platform Insights (Insight Hub).
> Log in to your platform and navigate to Account > Platform Insights:
> On the Platform Insights landing page, locate the Value Statement tile.
Note: This tile will only appear if the Value Statement has been enabled for the scheme.
> Select See Value Statement on the Value Statement tile, to open the dashboard
> Use the period filter within the statement to navigate between available statements:
Can't See the Value Statement Tile?
Check that your account has the Reports Viewer role assigned. If the role is correct and the tile is still not visible, contact your Cient Success Manager to confirm the feature is enabled for your scheme.
Features and Metrics
The Value Statement is composed of four sections:
- ROI Summary Banner
- Employer NIC Savings and Employee Savings
- Engagement Statistics
- Your Products
Details on these sections as well as metrics available within, are covered below.
1. ROI Summary Banner
Metrics
Return on Investment (ROI) - Total Net Return divided by Total Investment, expressed as a percentage. Formula: Total Net Return / Total Investment × 100%
Total Net Return - The net value generated after deducting the investment. Formula: Total Return – Total Investment
Total Return - Sum of Employer NIC savings + Employee Tax and NIC savings + Employee Discount savings
Total Investment - The quarterly investment amount associated with the scheme, calculated from the scheme go-live date
2. Employee and Employer Savings Panels
Metrics
Employer NIC savings - Savings through BenefitsFlow salary sacrifice products: Car Benefit, Childcare Vouchers, Holiday Trading, Cycle to Work. SmartTech salary sacrifice excluded.
Employee Tax and NIC savings - Employee savings on tax and NIC through the same BenefitsFlow salary sacrifice products
Employee Discount savings - Savings on eligible discount purchases: cashback, instant vouchers, instant reloadable vouchers, reloadable cards, eGift cards. R&R award point vouchers excluded.
3. Engagement Statistics
Metrics
Total active users - Users who logged in at least once during the three-month period
Total number of logins - Total count of all logins during the three-month period
Percent of active users - Active users ÷ registered users on the last day of the period. Leavers excluded.
4. Your Products
Metrics
Your Products - Shows which product modules are enabled or disabled for the scheme, using the same logic as MI Reports.
Time Periods and Historical Data
Each Value Statement covers a three-month period aligned to the scheme go-live date — not calendar or fiscal quarters. A new statement is produced at the close of each complete three-month period. Partial periods (less than 3 months data) do not generate a statement.
The range of historical statements available depends on the client's BenefitsFlow product mix, and can include:
- Holiday Trading
- Cycle to Work
- Childcare Vouchers
- Car Benefit
Backfill dates for data:
- BenefitsFlow (products listed above): 1 January 2025
- Discounts data: May 2022
First statement and ROI: The first statement a scheme produces may show a lower or negative ROI. This is expected - it reflects the early stage of the scheme's life where investment may precede the full accumulation of returns.
Where the Data Comes From
Investment data: sourced from Salesforce, based on the yearly spend associated with the scheme's RG Client account. Schemes linked to subsidiary account types will not have an investment figure and will not produce a Value Statement.
BenefitsFlow savings: calculated from salary sacrifice data across Car Benefit, Childcare Vouchers, Holiday Trading, and Cycle to Work. Assumed tax and NIC rates are applied (see Savings Figures section below)
Discount savings: calculated based on the saving made at point of purchase for eligible discount transaction types.
Engagement data: sourced from platform login and registration data for the scheme.
Compliance and Security
The Value Statement displays aggregated data only. No personally identifiable information (PII) is surfaced within the dashboard - all figures are presented at scheme level.
Savings Figure Calculations
All savings figures are indicative, UK-only, and based on England rates for a basic-rate taxpayer, using the following assumed rates:
Employer NIC: 15%
Employee NIC: 8%
Income Tax: 20%
Actual savings may vary depending on income band, NIC thresholds, benefit type, and individual circumstances. The Value Statement does not constitute tax, legal, or financial advice.
A disclaimer is included within every Value Statement. View the full disclaimer at: Value Statement - Disclaimer
