Overview

Keeping your employees in the know is an important part of saving them money every time they shop. To keep them up to date with the latest ways to save the most money, we have the following notifications as part of the SmartSpending employee discounts offering.

Retail Emails

Employees who are registered with the SmartSpending employee discounts will receive emails which highlight the promotional discount rates available. Emails will include promotional discounts, seasonal offers, and general awareness of the various features available.

On-site Alerts

Intuitive alerts are built directly into the client-branded SmartHub platforms which house the employee discounts offering. 

Alerts will automatically trigger when Cashback is pending and approved, as well as when an employee's favorite retailer has an increased, promotional rate of discount. Employees can easily set up a retailer as a favorite on that retailer's discount page. On-site alerts will also automatically trigger other aspects of the employee's experience – such as recognition received and, in the UK, salary sacrifice notifications.

SmartSpending App Push Notifications

Employees who choose to use the SmartSpending app on either iOS or Android will receive push notifications directly to their phone's home screen. 

Push notifications which employees will receive include the retailer, which is the Deal of the Week, an alert to see the week's top offers, and an alert when their favorited retailer/s are on promotion. Employees who don't want to use an app can also use all aspects of the discounts offered through the browsers on their mobile devices.

SmartSpending Extension for Google Chrome

Employees who use Google Chrome as their desktop browser can install the SmartSpending extension to ensure they never miss a discount. They'll then receive an alert when they visit a retailer's website who offers an employee discount through the offering. Interacting with the alert will open the retailer's discount page as a new tab in the employee's browser, allowing them to click the relevant Cashback link or view an Instant Voucher.
