Please note that this is an example user flow for USD but is also applicable for all Reward Pass (RP) currencies and countries.
Step 1
Users will be able to see their award balance in points and currency on their Account Settings page on the Reward Gateway platform. A ‘Use Balance’ link will take the user to the Reward Marketplace, where they will see all available redemption options for their country. If their award balance is 0, they will not be able to see this option.
Step 2
Clicking on ‘Use Balance’ will take users to the new Reward Marketplace. In order to see Reward Pass as a redemption option, they must type the name in the search bar.
Step 3
Users will be able to expand the Terms and Conditions field to read the T&Cs, and they will be able to enter the amount they wish to order, in the home currency associated with their country (in the example below, this is USD).
Step 4
Users check out on the Reward Gateway platform.
Step 5
The Reward Pass Prepaid Mastercard is instantly recorded on the user's account on the Reward Gateway platform. A record of the order can be accessed immediately after completing checkout, or later on, by visiting the Account Settings page and selecting ‘My Instant Vouchers’ on the left-hand side menu.
At this point, their Reward Pass Prepaid Mastercard has been purchased but still needs to be activated. The actual Reward Pass token will be sent to the user via email and the following screenshots describe the process, which takes place outside of the Reward Gateway platform.
Step 6
The user receives an email from Reward Pass with the next steps and their Reward Pass.
Step 7
Clicking on ‘Access Your Card’ will take the user to the Reward Pass site, where they will be prompted to enter the details that will be associated with their Reward Pass Prepaid Mastercard.
If the user has spent above a certain amount, (limits can be seen in Introducing Reward Pass - an R&R option for multi-country award redemption article) they will be given the option to choose a physical card at this point.
The user will then have to confirm their choice and agree to the T&Cs.
Once the user’s choice is confirmed, they will also receive a confirmation via email.
Step 8
Users can add their Reward Pass Prepaid Mastercard to their Digital Wallet on the Reward Pass website.
If they have already used Reward Pass, they can add it to their existing Digital Wallet. If this is their first purchase, they can create a new Digital Wallet, choosing a username and password for future access.
Step 9
Users who are creating a new Digital Wallet need to confirm their details and verify their email address.
In order to verify their identity, users will need to enter a verification code that is sent via email.
Step 10
Reward Pass Prepaid Mastercard details, including expiry date, balance and spend history, are available in the Digital Wallet, accessible through the username and passwords created at the previous step.
The Digital Wallet is hosted on a separate website, independent from the Reward Gateway platform.
