On The Spot Recognition - How to Redeem Awards

Introduction

Reward Gateway understands the importance of including all employees in reward and recognition programs. This means reaching employees who do not have a company email or access to computers at work. 

We’ve made it easy to provide in-person awards to those employees on the front line, by allowing administrators to create unique award codes that are not tied to specific individuals upfront, and can distributed to any employee when great work happens. Employees can redeem their rewards by entering the unique codes they receive on their company’s Reward Gateway employee engagement platform.

Personalizing the reward experience

Unique recognition messages can be included for each award, as part of the files clients upload to the Reward Gateway system, so the experience remains personal and specific. Employees will then see the messages when they claim their codes on the platform.

Importantly, award recipients can then choose where to spend their award amount from a huge range of big name in-store and online retailers. Employees can purchase gift cards and vouchers on the platform, which can then be used to buy the items they wish.

When an employee is given an On the Spot award, prompt them to log onto the platform to a tile or page of your choosing, where they can see their award and recognition message. If the award is non-monetary, the landing page will not mention the award value, or provide a link to award redemption options.

NOTE: The "Return to Social Recognition Wall" link will only appear on websites that have the Wall enabled. Awards sent through On The Spot Recognition are never shared on the Wall, and only visible to recipients.

Flexibility to spend awards at any time

Once they have claimed one or more codes, employees can see their recognition balance by selecting "See award options" on the award landing page, or visiting their Account Settings page on the platform.

They will then be able to choose whether to spend all of their award immediately, part spend it, or leave the award value in their balance until they have accrued more awards. This allows them to build up a larger balance they can use for larger purchases.

Once ready, they can choose to redeem their award with multiple different retailers (depending on the country they are based in), helping to create a highly useful, relevant and beneficial experience for every single employee.
