General
GuideCX is Reward Gateway’s project management tool to keep both our team and yours aligned and progressing throughout our implementation process.
General best practice will be to do everything related to your project with RG, right in the GuideCX tool to help eliminate email and to keep everything in one place for easy reference!
Marking tasks as ‘Done’
Marking your tasks as ‘Done’ once you have completed them is extremely important because it will update the dependencies and alert you of the next task you are required to complete.
It will also enable your Implementation Specialist to check in on your progress and action their tasks that follow.
Of course if you are ‘stuck’ and need help to complete a task, then change the status to stuck and we will be able to help you overcome the challenge.
Adding Task specific notes Vs Adding General notes
For notes that are relevant to a specific task, add them to the notes within the task itself. This enabled all the communications around that specific task to remain in one place and it is easy to refer back to.
For more general notes or any general questions you would like to ask, you can add those to the general notes and tag the team member you need to reach.
@ Functionality
If you want to tag someone, if you use the @ sign and type their name, it will notify them that they have been mentioned and will send them an email and alert with the message to get their attention.
My Tasks
This view will show you all your tasks you need to complete by date order. You can also add notes directly from this view.
Bell Icon
The Bell will show how many notifications you have got in regards to the project.
You can click through to them directly from the notification and mark them as read if you have already actioned them.
Expand & Collapse Tasks
Tasks will show as expanded by default, however if you want to collapse them to make the view slightly easier and then show certain ones, you can use the collapse view.
Board View Vs Timeline View
Board View is a great way of seeing all of your tasks in a kanban view, and you can scroll through the tasks.
Timeline View gives you a Gantt Chart style view and will show you the flow of the project to launch with all the dependencies.
Adding Task Participants
Group tasks always have one task owner who manages the task completion. This task owner can add as many “Participants” to the task as needed. There is a field in the task creation menu where the task creator can add these participants.
