Boost Configuration
Can I set a limit on how many times a recognition can be boosted?
Yes, within the Boost configuration, there is an area for Boost limit. Here you can set the max amount of times that recognition can be boosted. You also have a comment box to type in the message that will be displayed to the user when they try to boost a recognition that already has the maximum number of boosts on it.
For more information, see How to: Managing Boost.
I have Global R&R, can I still have Boost?
Yes, you will have a separate Boost Balance and you will be able to transfer the needed amount (either in the relevant currency or in points) from the Main Balance.
How do I add money to my Boost balance?
Boost balance sits separately from a Clients main balance, allowing clients to set budget and manage accordingly. Clients can transfer into their boost balance directly from their main Client Balance. It’s possible to transfer in during the initial set up, or using the ‘Manage Boost Balance’ button on the R&R Scheme page. Here, you can Add or Remove Currency/Points from your Boost balance.
For more information, see How to: Managing Boost.
Can I control how much a Boost is worth?
Yes. Within the Configuration, you have the ability to define a Min and Max value for what a boost is worth. For example, a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 would allow the user to boost between 1-5. Setting a min of 5 and a max of 5 would mean all boosts would be worth 5.
For more information, see How to: Managing Boost.
How often can my Boost Budgets be refreshed?
You can set up budgets to be refreshed every Month, Quarter, or Year.
Is Boost available on the Connect+ app?
No, Boost is currently not available on Connect+ App.
Can Boost be set up with Segmentation, so only certain users/groups/departments can send Boost top-ups?
Yes, it's controlled via 'Rules' which uses segmentation. EG Regular users could boost up to 50 pts per week, Managers can boost up to 100 pts per week but Leadership team can do 150. All controlled via segmentation. There is no way currently to segment which users can view boost top ups. Even if a user doesn't have the ability to boost themselves, they'll see that a recognition has been boosted.
Can Boost top-ups/allowance also be taken directly from the main client award balance or does it always have to be taken from a specific Boost award pot
Currently, Boost only has it's own pot. For example, you move money from your client balance into a 'Boost balance' where all boosts come out of allowing clients to budget for it.
Boosting Recognition
Which types of Recognition can I boost?
During the initial phase of Boost, only eCards will be available. This will involve optimizing the boosting capability specifically for eCards, ensuring a higher level of recognition. We will closely monitor the effectiveness of this enhancement before considering the expansion of Boost to other types of recognition, aiming to maximize its benefits in subsequent stages.
Can I boost an eCard sent to multiple people?
Currently, our focus is solely on boosting eCards directed to a single recipient. This deliberate limitation allows us to refine and optimize the boosting functionality for this specific type of recognition. As we move forward, we will explore the potential to expand Boost's capabilities to include the ability to boost recognitions with multiple recipients, offering a more comprehensive enhancement in the near future.
Can I boost an eCard I received or sent?
No, we made the decision not to allow this, due to risk of abuse. However, we’re open to feedback if this is desired by our clients.
Can I boost an eCard more than once?
You cannot boost the same recognition more than once. However, you can boost the same type of eCard for a different recognition as many times as your budget allows.
Can a boost be cancelled?
No, once an eCard has been boosted, it cannot be cancelled.
Boost Reports
What reports are available on Boost?
We have 2 reports currently for Boost.
- R630 is a Boost Budget Report, this shows all users that have a Boost Budget assigned to them, how much they have assigned and how much they have spent, over a period of time.
- R629 is a detailed Boost Report which shows each individual Boost transaction (every time a recognition is boosted) including the Booster, the recipient and the value of the boost.
