Reward Gateway | Edenred partner with EyeMed to provide clients with a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant wellbeing solution.
Employers must meet the obligations set out in the HSE (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992. These regulations stipulate how employers are responsible for their employees’ health, safety and wellbeing, when they use display screen equipment. Employers are required, under this regulation, to provide and pay for an eye test and, if required, the cost of glasses.
If employers are reimbursing employees for the cost via expenses, HMRC view this as income and expect this to be taxed at source. Utilising a voucher scheme avoids this requirement.

- EyeMed office voucher: the “all in one” voucher covers an eye test and glasses. The office voucher is the most popular and comes with a discount for Reward Gateway | Edenred clients.
- EyeMed contribution voucher – pay for an eye test only and, if required, pay for the glasses separately.
