Introduction
Employees can easily send gifts at a discounted rate to anyone using the Gifting Hub. Recipients can include friends, family, and colleagues. Please note that when a user sends a gift, only the value of the Gift Card is shown to the recipient and not the price the sender has paid. Information in this article is useful for Clients and Members using the Gifting Hub.
Designing the Tabs
Tabs are configurable by client admins and are dependent on the products they have. Menu editor can be used to select the which tabs, the layout of the tabs, in the Reward Manager.
Access the Gifting Hub as a Member
The Gifting Hub can be accessed via the following:
- Dedicated Tab
- Discounts Mega Menu
- Discounts home
- Merchant Page
Note: Currently the Gifting Hub can be accessed via the merchant page only in case that for a specific merchant we have a product/offer which is enabled for the Gifting Hub.
Dedicated Tab
Clients can have a standalone tab for the Gifting Hub on the discounts platform as shown in the example below.
Discounts Mega Menu
Click on Gifting Hub from the discounts Mega menu.
Discounts Home
You can also access the Gifting Hub from the Discounts home, via the banner. Please note this is only an example banner design, this banner which promotes the Gifting Hub can have various designs based on configuration.
Merchant Page
You can access the Gifting Hub via a specific merchant, only applicable to merchants which offer giftable products. In the example below, we will be visiting the merchant page for Adidas.
You can access the Gifting Hub from the Merchant page via the 2 action buttons highlighted in the below screenshot.
About Gifting Hub
The Gifting Hub is divided into 5 sections on every Gifting Hub homepage regardless of which business unit it is for.

More Gifting Ideas
The retailers which appear in this section are automatically decided by the algorithm which places the retailers depending on their popularity. In this section all the retailers are shown, which are enabled. This could be up to 100 retailers, which may be enabled. Please note that this section is not configurable using the Reward Manager.
Note: A small percentage of discount for every product which is purchased via the Gifting Hub is retained by a Business Unit. For example retaining 1% of the discount for every product and passing the 9% to the member. Please note this can be different depending on the business Unit and is up to the BU to decide on the amount of commission they would like to charge on Gifting Hub purchases.
Purchase Journey as a Member
- Access the Gifting Hub, in this example we are using the Discounts Mega Menu.
Click on Gifting
- The following page will open, click on Send Gift Now option from the retailer you would like to purchase from.
- Fill in the details of the recipient:
- Name
- Amount for the instant Voucher (The minimum value is pre-populated for the amount).
5. The next part is to select the e-Card which will accompany the Instant Voucher. Start by choosing one of the images presented for the special occasion, around ten options are available.

7. A member can choose to send the gift right away or select a future date such as a birthday. The gift will be sent by 9am local time of the sender of the gift. If the gift recipient is located in another zone, the system will not take this into consideration.
You can send the gift yourself or choose to send on behalf of someone else, such as a team. In this example, we will choose to send gift now and send as myself options on the screen.
8. Click on proceed to summary, the following summary will provide the final details of the gift:
9. Click on Preview Gift to see how exactly it will look like when you send to the recipient.
10. We will now finalize the purchase journey and click on the Add to basket button.
11. From here we can choose to view our basket or go straight to checkout. Let's click on View your basket option:
12. Click on Checkout to proceed:
Please note that we are now returning to the usual purchase journey on the platform and not specific to the Gifting Hub.
13. Click on Pay £1.88 in this example we will be using the cashback balance option to pay for the gift.
Please note that the cashback balance availability is dependable on the BU.

15. We can now return to the platform homepage or view order. In this example we will click on View Order:
16. Click on the View Details to access further information on the purchase:
We have the option to resend email, this will generate a second email to the recipient. In case the first email was lost by the recipient.
Emails Generated
The system generates three emails for each Gifting Hub purchase. Two of the emails are sent to the user, sending the gift, and one to the recipient.
Gift Sender
In the example below, we are looking at the two emails received for the voucher we have just ordered. One of the emails is confirmation of the purchase and the other one is to confirm that our Gift Card has been delivered to the recipient.
Receiving the Gift Card
The following email has been received by the recipient.
Click on the View Gift Card:
We can scroll down to view further details such as the FAQs and terms and conditions:
Please note that the voucher bought via the Gifting Hub does not appear under the Instant vouchers for the user who is sending the Gift Card.
Using the Voucher
- Click on Use Now button to open the Gift Card.
- Depending on the retailer, you will have the option to redeem the voucher. In this example, we will click on Get your E-Gift Card.
3. This will take you to the retailers' website and is an external link. You can use this e-gift card
