Introduction
Learn to create segments using date ranges when working with SmartHub. Step-by-step instructions are included on how to create segment rules complete with practical examples.
Creating Segments
You may be looking to segment some content based on a range of dates. For example, an onboarding survey may only be relevant to people who joined within the last 6 months. In this scenario, you can create the following segment rule based on the Start Date:
This rule tells the segment to include all members whose start date is within the last 6 months, i.e. later than 6 months ago.
Another example could be creating a special SmartHub layout for people who logged in to the platform for the first time to say, in the last 2 weeks.
In this scenario, you can create the following segment rule based on the First Login Date:
This rule tells the segment to include all members whose first login date is within the last 2 weeks, i.e., later than 2 weeks ago.
Lastly, in case you want to create a segment of members whose eligibility expires in less than 6 months, you can create the following segment rule based on the Eligible Until date:
This rule tells the segment to include all members who's Eligible Until date falls within the next 6 months i.e. no later than 6 months from now.
Tip: if you are not sure whether your segment rule is working, you can always save the segment and spot check a few members within it.
