With eCards, all employees within an organization can quickly and easily thank a colleague for something they have done, to recognize effort or commend behaviour, such as living the company's values.
Sending eCards is a simple act, yet it can quickly give a organization a boost to its recognition culture. It encourages all members of staff to get involved with thanking one another for their contributions at work.
Read on to learn more about the key features that can help clients promote a culture of continuous, meaningful recognition through eCards.
Senders can choose to share their eCards to a social feed
On platforms that have Social Recognition enabled, eCard senders will be able to choose whether to 'Send & Share' their eCard (i.e. display it on the Social Wall for others to react and comment), or 'Send Privately' (i.e. send it to the recipient without sharing it on the Wall).
When eCards are sent and shared, colleagues can add comments and reactions to extend their congratulations to those recognized through the feed.
When eCards are sent privately, they are only forwarded to the recipients, and never shared on the platform. Comments and reactions are not available for privately sent eCards.
Please note: for clients who do not have Social Recognition enabled, all eCards are always sent privately.
Read our articles about Social Recognition to learn more about the Social Wall and how it works.
eCard categories and segmentation
Clients can set up as many eCard categories as they like. Multiple categories are helpful for clients who have a large number of eCards with different themes (e.g. values, greetings, specific R&R initiatives), or want to segment some of their eCards for specific senders and recipients.
Employees who begin the process to send an eCard will be able to see all the different categories they have access to. They will never see eCard categories they are not eligible senders for.
Categories can be segmented, enabling clients to limit the visibility of any eCards that are only relevant to specific business areas (e.g. departments, locations). Clients can segment by:
- Sender (only a specific employee group can send eCards in the category; anyone in the business can receive them)
- Recipient (only a specific employee group can receive eCards in the category; anyone in the business can send them)
- Both sender and recipient (these can be different employee groups if needed)
eCards that are shared to the Social Wall are always visible to the whole organization, regardless of whether senders or recipients are segmented.
Dedicated eCards inbox
Employees can access a record of all eCards they’ve sent and received from their account on the platform. From there, they can also send reminders to colleagues who haven't opened the eCards they have sent them.
Downloading and printing
Employees have the ability to download any of the public recognition moments they have sent to others or received, directly from their eCards inbox or the Social Wall.
This makes it easy to print the recognition message and artwork, which can help engage employees who work offline.
Add GIFs to eCards
If enabled, employees can use GIFs instead of the standard eCard image. For example:
Note: Reward Gateway uses GIPHYs highest level (G - Level 1) of content rating which. GIPHY describes this as "Contains images that are broadly accepted as appropriate and commonly witnessed by people in a public environment.
- No profanity
- No sexual content - real or animated (no innuendo or partial nudity, nothing provocative)
- No violence or threatening imagery
- No weapons (finger, water, and Nerf guns are exceptions)
- No substances/drugs"
Send to groups
If groups have been created, employees can send eCards to those groups of people instead of individuals.
To learn more, see Group Recognition.
Availability & Cost
