This article explains what are InstantAwards and how managers can send these awards. Step-by-step instructions are provided and the best practice around sending InstantAwards.

Easy, Intuitive Functionality

InstantAwards is an easy-to-use tool which enables managers to send on the spot, personalized, monetary awards to recognize great behavior. The awards are in the form of instant, electronic shopping vouchers allowing for an instant and easy user journey to an award of the employees choice.

Sending an award is easy. Award pot owners can send monetary awards directly from the Social Recognition Wall via the Send Recognition button.

The user will be transferred to the recognition submission page, where they can begin recognizing.

To begin, they choose the recipient(s) to a total of up to 50 recipients for any one award, great for recognizing an individual or a team. There's an easy-to-use employee search tool which uses additional fields to give the sender confidence that the award goes to the right person.

The sender will be presented with the award options that have been set up on their program, often these tend to be tied in relation to the discretionary effort shown. After selecting the award option, the sender selects the award image. These are fully customized to the client and often linked to the company’s values, helping to demonstrate what great behavior looks like with real life examples of employees demonstrating those values in the day to day.

After you have selected the recipient/s, click on Instant Awards and you may be able to Pick Category depending on how many programs you have access to.

Personalized and Meaningful

Select a card that reflects your message. We know that the best recognition messages are specific, meaningful, timely, aligned with company values, and can be shared socially. That’s why it’s really important to write specific examples of the behaviors and actions the employees showed to receive their recognition moment! 

Choose a value for the award and Choose Pot. When you are happy with your submission, hit Next.

You can see a summary of your submission where you can give it a final review and can choose whether you'd like to share this recognition to the Social Recognition Wall or send it privately.

Manager Education

We provide the education needed to ensure managers feel confident and empowered to use the InstantAwards program. Implementation is flexible to allow our clients to set up a program which is best for them. They can set the award tiers they want, the pots they want, the eCards they want, and, well, everything else.

We communicate these rules to managers via channels which make the most sense, can run educational webinars and host content on the platform itself in an exclusive manager only area. We work with our clients to achieve the most success.
