What is it?
Ever had essential company updates or policy changes you needed to ensure your team read and acknowledged?
Now, with a simple click, authors can add Confirmation Buttons to their most crucial blog posts.
The process for the Author:
This is a very simple process! When editing a blog post, you will see a new option at the bottom of the editor.
Toggling this option will provide the author with a new option, where they will be able to edit the text that will appear for the user to click on to confirm the blog post.
The process for the User:
When a blog post with a confirmation button is posted, the user will be notified via an on-site alert as well as an email (the Email is controlled via Email preference centre).
The blog post also has a ‘Needs Action’ label on it indicating to the user that they need to acknowledge this post. This Needs Action Label is also found on the Blog Tile and the Blog view page. At the bottom of the text, the user will see a button with the label that was entered by the author.
Once the user has acknowledged the post, the button will be greyed out and the text changed to ‘Confirmed’.
Seeing the results
When viewing the Blog post as a SmartPress Administrator, Admin, Editor or Author of the blog post, next to the button you will see a link to show you how many people have confirmed the blog post and how long ago they confirmed it. This pop up also shows you who has not confirmed yet.
