Admin Alerts in Admin Portal and Smarthub

Introduction

This article explains how the new Alert feature will work in the Admin Portal. Information is included on the types of alerts and where to access these alerts. The information in this article is useful to client admins. 

Alerts Feature

The Alerts feature is now included within the Admin Portal. Similar to Smarthub, you can find the relevant icon in the Admin Portal header, with a counter for new alerts that when clicked, it will expand to show the relevant information. 

Admin Alerts focus on admin tasks that require your attention and when clicked, you will be redirected to the relevant Admin Portal change where you can take action. 

Admin Alerts are now also included in your Smarthub Alerts, and when clicked a new page will open where you will be automatically logged in the Admin Portal and be redirected to the relevant page.

You will only see Admin Alerts in Admin Portal, and Admin Alerts in addition to your other alerts according to your preferences within Smarthub.

Alerts Included in Admin Portal

Admin Alerts are Role Access Based, which means that they rely on your permissions. Please see the following article for information on Admin Portal Client Roles. 

1. New file uploaded or forwarded. The Alert is visible to all admins with File Receiver role and is triggered when a new file is uploaded. When clicked, you will be redirected to the Downloads section of your File Manager. The alert is triggered as soon as a new file is in File Manager.

2. Client Balance is running low: The Alert is visible to all admins with RR Budget Holder role and is triggered when your main Client Balance is below the designed threshold according to the R&R Programme’s Financial settings. When clicked, you will be redirected to the Administer Section of your R&R Programme where you can review and request Credit. The alert is triggered every hour on the hour and will be triggered once for every time the Balance falls below the threshold.

3. Awards Balance is running low. Similar to the above, this Alert is designated to RG4SB admins and is triggered when the Awards Balance falls below a certain amount (50 – regardless of currency). When clicked, you will be redirected to the relevant section where top-up can be actioned. The alert is triggered every hour on the hour and will be triggered once for every time the Balance falls below the threshold.
