Description
Members sometimes report getting an "invalid code" error when typing their e-gift card or voucher code into a site to pay for their purchases.
Troubleshooting
Firstly, ensure you are using a current/recently purchased voucher and not an expired or used voucher.
The next thing to check is that you are entering the voucher code and the PIN in the correct place on the website.
Most instant vouchers/e-gift cards have a PIN number and a voucher code:
On the website, usually there will be a field for voucher code or egift card number. This is the field in which to enter the voucher code.
Often these are different from the discount code or promo code field. Do not enter the code into the promo code field.
Enter the code in the gift card/egift card card number field, ensuring to add the voucher PIN in the PIN field, as well.
Note that the field names will vary from one retailer to another but nearly all will require the PIN number to be entered. This is an indicator that this is a the correct field for the voucher code to be entered.
