eCards - How to Design Custom eCards in Canva

Introduction

This article explains how to create custom designs using Canva. It covers both design and download instructions. Canva has become a tool of choice for many organizations because of its powerful set of instruments, images, clipart, and fonts, which give you the power to create great visual designs without the need for professional software.

Custom Awards

Awards, Long Service Awards or Award Certificates in Canva you should follow this
guide for achieving the best results.

Creating Your Project

1. Head to Canva.com

2. Login into your account

3. Click on Create a design in the top left, just under the Canva logo:

4. From the dropdown choose Start creating from your media at the bottom 

5. select Custom Size:

6. Enter the dimensions for your eCards as shown in the screenshot below:

Dimensions should be as follow:

• For eCards, Instant Awards, Long Service Awards: 3300x2100px
• For Award Certificates: 3300x2550px
• Award Certificates are a bit larger in height because they’re usually intended to be printed and handed over to the recipient.

7. Create your design as per your company brand guidelines or your liking:

8. When ready click on Share in the top right, then click Download.

9. In the next dialog, choose one of the following:

As the description states, PNG is best for flat graphics and illustrations while JPG is best for photographs as it compresses them better than the PNG format.

10. Click the big purple button Download. Your designs should be saved in your default browser download location.

You’re now ready to upload your designs to the platform or request assistance from your Implementation or Client Success specialists.
