Overview
Finding an article that is in Draft status differs from creating a new article from scratch or editing an already published one. This guide will walk you through the steps required to locate your draft article in Zendesk.
Background
When creating an article in Zendesk, it’s uncommon to start, edit, and publish it all in one sitting. Often, it’s necessary to save your progress as a Draft and return to it later to continue editing before publication.
Setting an Article as Draft and Locating It
Phase 1 – Setting an Article to Draft
While working on an article, if you save it without publishing, Zendesk will automatically place it in Draft mode. Please note, if you close the article without saving it, it will not be saved as a Draft.
Phase 2 – Locating the Article
When returning to Zendesk after a few days, first ensure you are signed in. Once signed in:
1. Click Knowledge Admin in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
2. Navigate to the Drafts section.
3. Search for your article in the Drafts folder. By default, drafts are arranged chronologically, which should help narrow your search.
