Introduction
This article provides an overview of the Feed feature within the Engage app. Information is provided on how the feature works, a summary, key benefits along with some use cases. This article is designed for anyone using the Engage app.
Overview
The Feed feature within the Engage app is designed to keep employees connected and informed about activity across your organization's platform. The Feed dynamically displays content based on your activated products, including recognitions, blog posts, wellbeing resources, and more.
Feature Summary
The Feed is a dynamic content stream that serves as the central hub of the Engage app, providing employees with a curated view of all platform activity in one convenient location. This feed aggregates content from across your activated products and modules, creating a personalized discovery experience that keeps your workforce informed and connected.
Key Benefits
Key benefits of the Feed include:
- Centralized visibility – All platform activity in one scrollable stream, eliminating the need to navigate multiple sections
- Increased engagement – Employees naturally discover content they might otherwise miss, driving participation across programs
- Real-time updates – Fresh content appears automatically, ensuring employees always see the latest recognitions, announcements, and resources
How it Works
The Feed brings together diverse content types into a cohesive experience. The specific content available in your Feed depends on which Engage products your organization has activated.
Recognition Posts – When recognition programs are enabled, the Feed displays E-cards, Strategic nominations and other types of recognitions. Employees can view, like, and comment on recognitions, amplifying the impact of appreciation across your organization.
Blog Posts and Announcements – Company news, leadership updates, and departmental announcements appear in the Feed, ensuring important communications reach employees where they're already spending time.
Wellbeing Content – If wellbeing modules are activated, the Feed surfaces relevant wellness tips, mental health resources, and mindfulness content tailored to support employee health.
For Employees:
- Open the Engage app and navigate to the Feed in the bottom navigation
- Scroll through the content stream to view recent posts, recognitions, and updates
- Tap on any item to view full details, read comments, or see more information
Use Cases
New Employee Onboarding – New hires can quickly get a sense of company culture by scrolling through the Feed, seeing how colleagues are recognized, what events are happening, and what values are celebrated.
Recognition Amplification – When an employee receives recognition, it appears in the Feed where hundreds or thousands of colleagues can see it, multiplying the impact and reinforcing desired behaviors.
Sharing Company Updates – HR teams, leadership, and department heads can post important updates, announcements, and company news that will be shown directly in the Feed, ensuring employees see critical information where they're already engaged. Whether it's promoting DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, sharing quarterly results, or announcing policy changes, the Feed provides a more visible and engaging alternative to email that employees are more likely to see and interact with.
User Experience
The Feed is designed to feel familiar and intuitive, similar to social media platforms employees use in their personal lives. The infinite scroll design encourages exploration, and the mixed content slots ensure that the employee sees a variety of content as they scroll. Employees can engage at their own pace, whether checking in multiple times daily or catching up weekly.
