Introduction
In this article, you will learn how to create and delete user-created challenges in the Engage app. This information is useful to users who want to create their own challenge in the Engage app itself.
Please note: User-created challenges must be enabled in your client account for you to access this feature. Only your company administrators can enable this feature.
Overview
Users can create their own challenges within the mobile app. It is possible to create up to five user-created challenges at a time. Once one of your five user-created challenges ends, you'll be able to create another challenge. Follow steps below from the Engage mobile app to get started.
How To Create a Challenge
- From the Goals and Challenges dashboard, scroll down to the Challenges section and tap on the Create button.
- Select a challenge mode and tap the Continue button
- Set your challenge goal:
- For Streak, Stick to It, Target, and Leaderboard challenges, you can set a steps, distance, or minutes as the metric
- For Daily habit challenges, you can select a goal to compete on for the duration of the challenge
- For Virtual Race, you can set a distance goal and select a map to compete on
- Choose your challenge duration (from 7 to 60 days) and set a start date.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully created your challenge! Now you can invite others to join for some friendly competition!
Please note: Daily habit challenges are individual challenges and do not have the option to invite others.
How To Delete a User-created Challenge
Challenge creators have the option to delete challenges they’ve created.
- Click into the challenge from your dashboard
- Then, click the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the challenge
- From there, tap Delete challenge and confirm to proceed
Deleting a challenge will also end the challenge for any participants who joined the challenge, and all participants will lose access to challenge score data. Deleted challenges can’t be recovered after they’ve been deleted, so please use the delete button with caution!
