Introduction
If you’ve connected your Apple Watch to the Engage app following this Help Center article: Goals and Challenges - How To Connect Your Apple Watch to the Engage App, then it's time to learn how to sync steps, distance, and active minutes from your Apple Watch to Engage.
In this article, we’ll show you how to make sure you’ve got data available to sync! This information is useful to clients and members.
The Syncing Process
To sync to Engage, you just need to open your Engage app and wait to see a Last synced: message to confirm that you’ve synced.
We recommend syncing by opening the Engage app at least once a day during your challenge.
All challenges have a 72-hour grace period after the challenge ends to give you extra time to sync your final steps, so make sure you sync before the grace period is up!
Where Does Engage Get My Data?
Engage pulls your activity data from the Health app because it aggregates steps from your watch and phone. If steps, distance, or minutes aren’t showing here, then they can’t sync to Engage.
