SmartPay™ - How to set a spend limit per product for your employees in SmartPay (for UK only)

Introduction

In this guide we'll explore how to locate and use the spend limit step in SmartPay. We will showcase how to limit the spend for any benefit to a percentage of every employee's salary.

Where to find it

Go to the Products tab in your SmartPay dashboard and click "Manage" on the product you'd like to configure. 

Once on the product setup page, locate the Spend limit step and click Edit to open the interface. 

How to set a limit based on the employee's salary

1. Start your formula by typing the decimal representation of the desired percent in the text area i.e. 10% = 0.10, 5% = 0.05 . Do not use the % sign as it won't be recognised by SmartPay and your limit won't function properly.

2. Add the multiplication sign "*" to the field.

3. Click on the AnnualSalary tag above the text area in order to add it to your formula. 

4. Clicking save will instantly implement your new spend limit.
