Introduction
This article is designed to help you navigate the SmartPay platform for your benefits. We will be looking at Payrolls and Product tabs, giving detailed information on how to manage SmartPay benefits. This article is designed for clients.
The following topics are covered:
SmartPay Dashboard
This is the dashboard from where you can manage all SmartPay benefits, including any pending tasks.
Payroll Information
You can also look through payroll details and configuration by clicking on the payroll name. The payroll ID is configured by the system and is automated at a point of generation. You also have your payroll approvals, which can be added to, or edited. Your payroll frequency is also managed here as well as invoicing preferences.
Please note that invoicing preferences is internal information and cannot be edited.
Payroll Actions
In addition to reviewing the payroll information, the following actions are also available:
- View Members
- View Payroll Dates
- Edit Payroll
View Members:
Shows member details such as Payroll Number, Salary Sacrifice details etc.
Deprovisioned filter will show employees who have been updated as a company leaver - they will be viewable for 6 months.
View Payroll Dates:
This screen shows you all the payroll dates in the system, including the payroll cut-off dates.
You can also look at previous payroll dates by using the Include closed payroll dates filter.
Editing Payroll
Please note this must not be used to edit payroll dates - this needs to be done with Client support or Client Success Managers.
- If you wish to edit the payroll, click on Edit under payroll actions:
- From here you can edit the payroll approval, click edit located next to the payroll approval.
- The form will expand and allow you to simply edit the approvals details. Click on Add Approval to insert details for the new approval.
4. Click Save to confirm details
Deduction Report
To download the Deduction report, follow these steps:

Click on Download Deduction Report
> Payroll: Use the dropdown to select a payroll name on which you wish to run a report. You may have multiple payrolls to choose from.
> Product: Select an individual product or select All
> Application Type: All
> Period: Select a period for the Deduction Report
> Export: Select Detailed Report
> Format: select either CSV or .xls
- Click on Download
Products
To manage Products, follow these steps:
- Click on the Products tab to look at the products you have available.
2. Products are displayed according to their priority, click on the Manage to edit a product:
3. This will take you to the specific product page, where you can review product related configuration.
