Introduction
This article provides instructions on how to sync steps from the Health Connect app into Engage. Now that you’ve connected Health Connect, learn how to sync your steps and distance to Wellbeing+. This information is useful to clients and members.
The Syncing Process
To sync with Engage, you just need to open the app and wait to see a Last synced: message to confirm that you’ve synced.
We recommend syncing by opening the Engage app at least once a day during your challenge.
All challenges have a 72-hour grace period after the challenge ends to give you extra time to sync your final steps, so make sure you sync before the grace period is up!
Where Engage Gets Your Data
Engage retrieves your activity information from the Health Connect application. When you establish a connection and give permission to an application, it is authorized to view and update data in Health Connect. Once permission is granted, the connected app can retrieve data from the past 30 days and any new data added thereafter.
Depending on the permissions you select, apps will transfer data to Health Connect, where it will be stored on your device and shared with Engage.
