This article offers information on cashback options available in your account. Information is included on how to view cashback, cashback approvals and three ways to use approved cashback. Information contained in this article is useful for clients and members who want to view their cashback in the app.

Overview

Earning cashback is one of the most rewarding ways to watch your savings grow. Every time you purchase a qualifying item, your earnings are tracked inside the app. 

Viewing Your Cashback

To view your cashback history to check your balance, visit the Cashback Statement section from your main dashboard or your Account profile. 

• Green amounts (+): Approved cashback successfully credited to your account.
• Red amounts (-): Cashback funds you have spent or withdrawn to your bank account.

Cashback Approvals

Cashback Approval Status: After making a qualifying purchase, your cashback status is tracked in your Cashback statement. Processing timeframes vary by merchant and depend entirely on individual retailer terms.  

Normally the Cashback appears as pending in the user's account with 3 days after the purchase. Then it depends on the individual retailer as each of them have different timescales for approval. Majority of brands would confirm the cashback between 60 - 90 days after the purchase. There are brands with longer validation periods, especially brands within the travel category or insurance/utility sector. Normally for travel brands, they wait for the holiday to be completed and then the validation period starts.

For the Insurance/Utility brands, they wait for a number of monthly instalments to be completed on a policy or contract before the validation period. 

Three Ways to Use Your Approved Cashback

Once your cashback status moves to Approved, you can use it immediately. You have three distinct options:

1. Spend It (Best Value): You can use your approved cashback directly to make a new discounted purchase! This is the best way to compound your savings, using money you've already saved!
2. Donate It: Depending on your employer’s implementation settings, you can choose to donate your cashback to support charitable organizations.
3. Withdraw It to your bank: If you'd prefer the cash back in your hands, you can securely transfer it directly into your bank account. Simply tap Use Cashback on the statement screen and follow the prompts to complete your bank transfer.
