Engage - Gifting Feature

Introduction

This article offers information on the Gifting feature available in the Engage App. Step-by-step instructions are provided along with an overview. This article is designed for clients and members. 

Overview

With Gifting, Members can spread the joy of discounted shopping directly from their mobile device! Previously, Gifting was only available on our Web platform but now, it is fully integrated into the app. This feature allows you to purchase vouchers as digital gifts for friends or family and they don't even need to be members of the platform to receive or use them. The gift card delivers instantly or, on a scheduled date right to your recipient's email address.

Sending a Gift

Step 1: Find an eligible Gift Card: Browse the app's catalogue or search for a merchant. Look for the Send as Gift button option. 

Step 2: Enter recipient information: Tap Send a Gift to start the 4-step wizard. Enter the recipient's Name and Email Address.

Tip: If you don't know their email address, you can input your own email to receive the gift voucher and forward it to them later.

Step 3: Choose the amount you want to gift: Enter the total value you would like to load onto the gift card.

Privacy Guard: The app explicitly notes that while the recipient receives the full face-value voucher amount, they have no way of seeing how much you actually paid for it after your exclusive platform discount.

Step 4: Personalise your gift: Choose a wish card for the occasion (such as Thank You, Happy Birthday, Just Because, or Congratulations) and type a custom message to accompany the voucher.

Step 5: Delivery Options & Sender Details: 

• When should we send it? Select Send eGift card now for immediate delivery, or choose Schedule for later to pick a calendar date up to 3 months in advance.
• Who is it from? Opt to send the gift as yourself, or check the box to send it anonymously or on behalf of a specific workplace group.

Step 6: Review and Buy: Tap Proceed to Summary to inspect your layout preview. If everything looks correct, tap Send Gift to move the item into your checkout basket.

Checking Out With a Gift Item

Once added to your basket, your gift orders will process through our secure checkout just like any other purchase:

• You can complete your transaction using your saved credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or apply your approved Cashback balance to pay for the gift!
• After payment processing completes successfully, you will see a confirmation screen showcasing the order details, the recipient's email tracking line, and the scheduled delivery date.
